In 2005 jagelf Ltd was started to create a portal for students looking for graduate jobs, and with the students needs at the forefront of development. As graduates ourselves we know and remember well what it was like to enter the graduate job market, the issues and concerns surrounding it. Our aim is quite simply to give students all their options so that not only do students know about opportunities within big companies but also smaller local companies who recruit just 1 or 2 graduates each year.
We aim to give students much of the information that they need to compare companies; like the salary you can expect, the locations the company operates in, their minimum requirements along with the subject areas they accept and their overall package. With this information we hope that graduates will be better equipped to make the crucial career decisions.
We are also looking to put in place a development committee containing both students and employers, in order to develop the site and make sure we are bringing students the very best service we can. This is why we welcome your comments and suggestions. (admin@jagelf.com) We also recognise that one of the major issues facing students in today’s world of Higher Education is the much discussed student debt. Instead of just talking about it though we want to what we can (however little) and our annual prize draw will pay off 1 member’s student loan* and in the future we hope to make this more regular, aiming for a monthly draw.
